Well, I meant "neutral" in the sense that she hates both men and women, but I now realize that's a redundant phrasing because "misanthropist" literally means you hate everyone.
Actually, it depends on which Poison Ivy you're thinking of. Different incarnations have either doubled down on the sexpot aspect or almost entirely removed it. She's also been written as an uber-feminist, most often when she's paired with Harley Quinn (I believe people who write her as the latter type tend to think "okay, she hates people, but she also hates men more because that's just the logical extreme"); however, other writers have indeed written her as a neutral misanthropist, so it really does depend on which Poison Ivy you're drawing your opinions from.
I actually like the spins YJ put on both characters, but I think Riddler is the worst-represented of the two because he doesn't use riddles, he makes bad jokes and cracks puns. The whole point of being the RIDDLER is that he tells RIDDLES. If he doesn't do that, he's nothing more than a generic quippy supervillain.
"The overall narrative of Young Justice is heavily reliant on twists, revelations and mysteries. Each plot raises several questions that will likely be revealed in future installments. The "Questions" section of episode and comics pages aims at keeping track of such mysteries and revelations." That's from the question-asking guidelines. Basically, it was to keep track of what was going on between hiatuses. However, it's obviously now outdated, given that the show is now being shown all at once on a streaming service and not on an episode-by-episode basis. Still, I like the Questions section for various reasons, so if you see an obvious unanswered question, just go ahead and answer it (if you can figure out how to do that, which I cannot).
Yeah, I know. And I know that design-wise, having long hair is often part of the character. But I still don't like Wonder Woman's braid, because that seems especially inviting for a villain to grab. All the other characters are relatively young, but Wonder Woman has been doing this for a while---it just seems to me that she'd know not to condense her hair in a way that's so easy to yank or catch.
I thought most of the designs were pretty good. I'm a little annoyed at Wonder Woman's hair---it's my personal pet peeve when superheroines have long hair, because it's just SO IMPRACTICAL. But other than that, everyone looked pretty good.
M'gann's new look does make sense---she's finally embraced herself as a white Martian, when in Season One she purposefully made herself appear green-skinned because she was ashamed of being "the wrong color." So it's nice to see that character development. I'm not crazy about the hairless look, but I guess it would a) protect her identity a little more, b) be a nod toward her uncle's form, and/or c) keep her hair from being pulled or caught during missions.
Yeah, I'm not crazy about that idea either. I kind of like their dynamic right now, as just friends. Also, I thought Harper and Jade were just separated? Are they actually divorced?
