Connor looked neat in boxers.
Jade is unbelievable. She finally shows up again and then she leaves before even saying "Hello". How long does she plan to stay away from her own daughter?
Even without the venom, Bane can fight. Huh. Who knew?

And Brion's homesickness continues.
Wow. A glamour charm for Forager to look human.
Love how every time Violet flies, Artemis yells "No flying at school!".
Oh, my gods! Who can unsee a bloody mess like that?
Brion really should mellow out. There was no need for a fight.
Poor Victor. But it was the only way to revive him.
Episode 12 thoughts:
Got to love Beast Boy in that movie scene. Though the part where Gretchen Goode meets him raises a lot of questions.
That tech inside Victor controls machines like the Sphere? The sooner they remedy that problem, the better.
Wow. Beast Boy had a close call. Even after that mess with the Goode Goggles, he survived.
A kiss scene that's thrice as sweet.
Great collection of episodes today.
Father Box is what is inside of Victor, which is from Apokalipse and the opposite of a Mother Box which is from New genesis (Same with Sphere) from what i can tell, father Box is extremely aggressive while the Mother box is extremely caring. Sphere probably sensed the father box getting ready to attack Violet
Episode 12 was one of the worst of anime episodes I had ever seen! Really like the stuff with Cyborg not so much them sending Halo and Forager to school. I like Episode 13 until the very last scene. Are they really doing Tara, again? Can they not tell any new original stories with the characters? Jason Todd, yeap. Tara, yeap. I had been into comics (and DC series since I was a kid in the 90s. I had seen all of this before. Anything new, please!)
Why is Oracle ordering Batman around? I like the battle between Katana and Shiva, either those it was a little short. I had noticed that the episode that I seem to think are writing the worst, seem to be written by Greg Weisman.
I also like Harper Row, hope she will become part of the team.
I have to agree that sending Forager to school as a human was not good.
Harper was good. All of them.
The DPG was great.
Tara was an eyeroll.
Cyborg... Idk. I feel like he's basically at the Terra/Raven point of overuse of singular story, his origin story and not dealing with being a cyborg has been told so many times recently it just doesn't have an impact.
@Ashcat19
Harper Row isn't connecting to the Harper (surname) family.
Not sure what you meant about the DPG?
I actually agreed with you about Cyborg. Once I started to think about it I realized how much Cyborg in the last 20 years had become one of the second-tier DC heroes. Hell in some of the variant he is a founder member of the Leauge, or one of it first recruit. There are only three first-tier DC heroes (Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman) in my opinion.
That "confusion" was pretty clearly established in the episode. But Harper is still able to refer to 4 characters who performed quite nicely in the episodes in my opinion; Row, Violet, Will, Jade.
DPG = Doom Patrol Go.
The last couple of episodes really lean into the weakest/worst parts of the series. The story/plot is getting really dangerous and exciting, about to reach a crescendo, then instantly taps out. The resolutions are either super easy and rushed and don't do justice to the complicated setup (ex. "The Fix", "Intervention", "Endgame"). This happens again in "True Heroes". It's such a cop-out. And then there are the exposition dumps and off-screen actions that tie everything up ("Usual Suspects", "Summit"). I feel that Black Lightning is this season's Impulse, a character who was set up with a lot of mystery and intrigue but becomes a background character as the season progresses. I'm surprised they did Cyborg's setup and origin almost verbatim, I thought they'd put more of a spin on it.
I assume all of this was done as a palette cleanse so they won't have to deal with all this baggage in the latter half of the season. Disappointed.
Also, did anyone else think Batman sounded weird when he first spoke? I would've enjoyed a whole episode of them just being silent spies, really.
Agreed this quartet of episodes weren't as good as the first nine. I did see some things that I liked, though. Random observations:
I'm getting a very strong anti-villain vibe from Cassandra Savage. Also, what's up with Helga picking up the hairbrush, looking very suspicious in the process?
