Canon material

Ok, am I missing something here? How many episodes have already aired? I think there's only one, and it definitely didn't have all the information posted on this article. What's the source for all these minutiae? ― Thailog 15:25, December 5, 2010 (UTC)

I'm pretty sure someone has just been adding info based on what happened in the comics, despite the fact that YJ may be very different from the mainstream DC universe. Some stuff comes from interviews, although Greg Weisman has pointed out that they aren't necessarily reliable. So I tend to think we should be phasing out the unsourced elements in the near future. -- Supermorff 15:38, December 5, 2010 (UTC)

I figured. That used to happen in the DCAU Wiki all the time. Sometimes it still does. Editors think they need to fill every gap with comics canon, even if it's inconsistent with the animated universe. That's why we have a conjecture policy. Maybe, or some of it anyway. I don't think we need the same templates, though. A little note in the infobox next to the 'name' should be sufficient. Greg Weisman also suggested some sort of distinction between the canon stuff and non-canon stuff from, e.g. interviews,[1] although I think as long as the interviews are referenced as such then it's not such a huge issue. -- Supermorff 15:53, December 5, 2010 (UTC)

It sounds doable. We have a template for questionable material that highlights the text and has a hover note. Maybe we could use something similar here, but more subtle? ― Thailog 16:06, December 5, 2010 (UTC)

Sorry, that's a Weisman-ism. "Canon-in-training". Mainly things from Ask Greg that haven't shown up in canon material - probably true but subject to change. Not sure blue is a good colour, though, since it'll be very similar to the links on the site. Can't use red either for the same reason. Yellow/gold? Orange? Green? Purple? That wouldn't be a problem if we decided to go with orange. I could easily change the color of red (and blue) links inside the CIT template. I'd just need access to the CSS, or someone to do it for me. ― Thailog 18:41, December 5, 2010 (UTC)

We can do almost everything with CSS. A pain in the ass sometimes, but it's our friend. Though, I'm not a fan of orange neither. I'm kinda liking the yellow one, or lighter green. The former stands out better. ― Thailog 18:48, December 5, 2010 (UTC)

Dick o Tim

Well, this is a completely different universe with its own timeline, so that argument doesn't really hold. The spin-off comic, which is written by series creator Greg Weisman and staff writer Kevin Hopps, refer to Robin as "Master Dick". That is a canon reference. If you want something clearer (but not necessarily canon), we'll have to go direct to the creators. Here and here, Greg Weisman specifies that Robin is Dick Grayson. Here he explains that this is Earth-16 and not tied to previous continuity. If that's not sufficient, well then I have nothing more to give you. Words

I don't know if this is something worth mentioning, maybe, but has anyone else noticed he tends to mess with words a bit? Like, in the first episode, he's heard underwhelmed and overwhelmed, and wonders why no one is just whelmed. He then uses whelmed as a word throughout the rest of the episode. He's done the same to disconcerted (concerted) and I think disturbed, but the last one I'm not sure about. --Aliana*Anima della tundra! 10:52, February 4, 2011 (UTC)

Okay first of all, is all of Robin's abilities copied and pasted from the Teen Titans Robin? I've read over it, some of it is true, and the others are NOT. Someone needs to fix it because....it looks pretty bad.

Why will Robin ( Richard John "Dick" Grayson) have no Love intrest? Why can't he with be with Artemis because both of them don't have powers? But he might levitate to walls.

This robin is in fact the 3rd robin, Tim Drake. NOT DIck Greyson. DIck was the first robin and was part of the teen titan that happened long before Young justice. Greyson comes back last as night wing and is the leader of a new generation of teen titans. Tim drake later goes on to become Red Robin. Who ever wrote this did not read up on the facts

Early Life Update?

Issue six of the YJ comic shows that Dick not only watched his mom, dad, older cousin, and aunt die in the fall but his uncle fell, survived, and is still alive and paralyized (thus unable to care for him). I think the fact that this version of Dick Grayson has a living relative that could pop up later, even in the form of responsibility, is important. I added this info once and it looks like it got deleted. I'm very sorry you thought it was condescending. I can't recall the incident in question, but the only reason I would recommend that an anonymous IP should register a username is because I'd seen them do a lot of really good work and I thought they should get credit for it.
