- This article is about the first Green Lantern. For his namesakes, see Green Lantern.
Alan Scott[2] (b. 1917[1]) was a Green Lantern, and a member of the Justice Society of America.
Physical appearance[]
He wore a cape with a high collar and a costume that appeared less form fitting than modern hero costumes. The unicolor tunic had an emblem of a classic oil lantern (not stylized as in the Green Lantern Corps) on the chest. He wore a dark domino mask to conceal his identity.
History[]
Early life[]
Alan Scott lived in Gotham City.[2] In 1940,[3] at the age of 23,[1] he found a damaged and malfunctioning Green power ring, becoming a Green Lantern, albeit never affiliated with the Green Lantern Corps.[4] At some point later, he became a member of the Justice Society of America.
He, along with the other Justice Society members, had publicly accepted/inducted Red Tornado into the group, with him shaking Tornado's hand in front of the press.[5]
