During the period 1941-1945 the Justice Society of America expanded to become the wartime All-Star Squadron. After the end of World War II the team returned to its original form.[1] Their base was at the 1939 New York World's Fair site in New York City.[2]

The group was formed mostly from members of the Justice Society but some individuals debuted as superheroes joining the Squadron.
