In "Needful" it's revealed that the three ring wearers are alien superheroes named Saturn Girl, Phantom Girl, and Chameleon Boy.

Who assassinated King S'turnn J'axx?

S'yraa S'mitt did, but it was accidental. As seen in "Involuntary", she lost control of her magic when the king disallowed her marriage to Prince J'emm.

Who sabotaged Mars's Zeta-Tube?

Lor-Zod admits he used his heat vision to destroy the Zeta-Tube to cut off Superboy from the Justice League and prevent any interference in his plot to assassinate him in "Encounter Upon the Razor's Edge!".

In "Encounter Upon the Razor's Edge!", Lor-Zod explains that he destroyed the Communication Satellite using his heat vision to prevent the Justice League from interfering in his plot to kill Superboy.

In "Encounter Upon the Razor's Edge!", Lor-Zod admits he was responsible for the cave-in and did so to keep the Legion of Super-Heroes away from Superboy.

In "Encounter Upon the Razor's Edge!", Saturn Girl and Chameleon Boy explain that they were trying to stop Lor-Zod, who had traveled back in time to kill Superboy. Without Superboy as an inspiration, the Legion of Super-Heroes never formed, with devastating consequences.

What happened to Saturn Girl, Phantom Girl and Chameleon Boy after Superboy destroyed the bomb?

Phantom Girl is revealed to have been transported into a strange dimension alongside Superboy, but has fallen into a coma, as seen in "Nautical Twilight". The dimension is revealed to be the Phantom Zone in "Beyond the Grip of the Gods!". In "Ebb Tide", Saturn Girl and Chameleon Boy tell Superman that they believed Phantom Girl to be dead and found their Time-Sphere destroyed after the explosion, but were able to convinvce Bio-Ship to ferry them to Earth, where they have been trying to find a way to fix the timeline discreetly.

Why did the mysterious individual target Superboy?

In "Encounter Upon the Razor's Edge!", Lor-Zod expains that he targeted Superboy because he was the inspiration that formed the Legion of Super-Heroes in the future, who ultimately re-imprisoned his parents and their followers in the Phantom Zone. Lor-Zod considered him twice his enemy because he inspired the Legion and because he is a member of the House of El.

Who is telling the truth, Onyx or Cassandra?

Onyx was telling the truth as best she knew it, as revealed in "The Lady, or the Tigress?", but "I Know Why the Caged Cat Sings" makes clear that the League of Shadows used her, hoping she would create confusion and thus buy Cassandra time to gather the intel she had been sent to collect.

Why does Phantom Stranger want to remind Vandal Savage of his history with Klarion?

Who is the hooded man?

He claims to to be Arion, founder of Atlantis, in "Ebb Tide", but in "Leviathan Wakes", Miss Martian discovers that he was a clone of Arion with the memories of Ocean-Master, as part of the Light's Project Thrinos.

What is the Prophecy that Mera mentions to Orin?

The Prophecy of the One True King foretells the time when the true king of Atlantis will rise. The prophecy is read in full in "Ebb Tide".

In "Leviathan Wakes", Miss Martian uncovers that Vandal Savage and Ultra-Humanite cloned Ocean-Master as part of Project Thrinos. He is a pawn to help set up the cloned Arion, Orm's true successor, as Annax.

What is the Kaizer-Thrall and what does it do?

It is an Apokoliptan device that enables transport between dimensions, as seen in "Forbidden Secrets of Civilizations Past!", where it is also shown to be able to torture individuals by holding them inbetween dimensions. In "Zenith and Abyss", the organic component of the Thrall is able to reveal himself; he is actually Danny Chase, a meta-human boy who was trafficked to Apokolips. Desaad extracted his brain and placed it in the device.

What did Ma'alefa'ak do to the Ruction Cell?

Mal'alefa'ak traveled back in time with Lor-Zod and Mantis and placed a tracer on the Ruction Cell that is connected to the Kaizer-Thrall, allowing the Thrall to trace the frequency of Metron's Inter-Dimensional Vault in "Forbidden Secrets of Civilizations Past!".

What did Darkseid promise Ma'alefa'ak?

In "Death and Rebirth", Ma'alefa'ak is rewarded for his service with the planet Durla. He intends to make it a new home for the A'ashenn.

It is the Eye of Ekron. In "Over and Out", it makes Ursa Zod into the Emerald Empress.

Rescue and Search[]

How did Superboy and Phantom Girl become trapped inside the Phantom Zone?

As she explains in "Ego and Superego", Phantom Girl attempted to rescue Superboy from the explosion on Mars by phase shifting them to her home dimension of Bgtzl. However, the explosion, the pain of the burning lava and his body's high denisty resulted in them getting stuck in the Phantom Zone and left Phantom Girl comatose.

Why does Zatanna need the school bus?

In "Ego and Superego", Zatanna is able to use the reconstructed bus to create a portal to the Phantom Zone, since it had already been there while under Klarion's control.

Why does Lor-Zod still want the Kaizer-Thrall?

The Kaizer-Thrall is able to lock onto transdimensional frequencies, and in "Zenith and Abyss" it is confirmed it was able to get the frequency for the Phantom Zone when the portal was open in "Odyssey of Death!".

Who is the Kaizer-Thrall?

In "Zenith and Abyss", Miss Martian mind-links with the Thrall and learns it is in fact a trafficked meta-human named Danny Chase. Desaad extracted his brain and put it into the Apokoliptan box.
