After such a long wait, the crossover is finally near!
Just to reiterate: not canon.

Yes.
Though I'll admit, I'm sort of disappointed. I really hope it's more than just Aqualad speaking. I had also hoped they'd at least transform into ugly gritty 90s costumes.
I saw that review of "Waffles", and immediately I was put off. It's too obnoxious for its own good. I mean, it's bad enough they had to turn it into a complete comedy, now they have to make fun of the fact that they're not serious. I'm guessing Go! is supposed to be taken as a legit sequel (and New as well), but I just can't believe it myself. I don't mean to turn this into a widespread debate, it's just this is my first real look at what the show is and I'm not impressed. I knew it was going to be a lighthearted take, but not like this. You'd lose IQ points watching this.
It plays fast an loose with continuity, focusing on comedy. It has its moments.
I like it just for the absurdity of it. I mean, I'm also a fan of Young Justice and it's weird how they look. Don't worry though, Superboy and Miss Martian are appearing too. Don't know if they're soeaking though.
That's that question answered: "There are no other voice actors [except Khary] from "Young Justice" making an appearance, but you'll see some of the other characters."
I noticed that interview. Maybe it only needs one actor, but still, one?
Okay, verdict:
Same as most episodes: it can ellicit a chuckle.
It feels weird seeing YJ so badly animated. Also, apparently, Superboy can fly. And Aqualad didn't sound like himself.
This was more of a breakdown of the gritty late 80s and horrible early 90s; YJ didn't really play a part in it.
Sounds like YJ was just a stand in for what a serious group would be like, instead of going with something original. It's obviously easier to go with something familiar, and also saves time and money.
