Dick Grayson came around looking to recruit the Harper boys for a job he was putting together to bust meta-human traffickers in Star City. While Roy and Jim willfully accepted, Will would only join under one condition: first, they help him complete a contract job. Reluctantly, Grayson agreed to his terms, and soon, they were off to secure a shipment of Goode Goggles for their client, Goode World Studios. At first, the job seemed to be a mundane gig, but things quickly ratcheted up when Brick and his thugs tried to rob them of the merchandise in broad daylight.

The thieves had procured fake IDs to drive the delivery trucks and almost got away with the goggles, but Will, noticing something amiss, blew their cover and gave chase as they tried to flee with the stolen goods.[1]

Will and company pursued Brick and his goons in a high-speed chase. One by one, they took down Brick's men to regain control of the delivery trucks before finally catching up with the main man himself and taking him down to bring the heist to an end. With the shipment successfully recovered and Brick and his men arrested, Bowhunter Security celebrated a job well done.[1]

Some time later, Roy and Jim each took 25% ownership of the company. They took on a reformed Clayface as an employee under the name Harlan Matthews.[2]

Harlan Matthews, Roy and Jim Harper were tasked with guarding a shipment of gear for a new Wayne Tech skyscraper. They were attacked by Task Force X who desiccated Harlan and vacuumed him up. Roy called Will Harper, who was at a party with other early members of the Team in Happy Harbor.

Since the Team and the Justice League could not openly act against Task Force X without Amanda Waller revealing their secrets, Will offered to take the others on as Bowhunter temps. After a changing in to Bowhunter uniforms, they took Bowhunter's new temporary vehicle, Bio-Ship to intercept Task Force X short of Belle Reve Penitentiary.[2]

The Bio-Ship shot down the Manta-Flyer a few miles from Belle Reve. Will and his new employees fought and defeated the Task Force members, and Megan Morse recovered Clayface. Will called Warden Economos to arrange the return of his "escaped" prisoners.[2]

After Tigress was approached by Cassandra Savage and Onyx, with both claiming to be defectors from the League of Shadows and that the other was a mole, she called Will for help. Will arranged with Green Arrow to use the Vault to secure them. He came to help transport them in Bowhunter uniform with his SUV. They came under attack by the Shadows. They were able to fend off the attack, with Will using a clipboard and Bowhunter-labelled pen as weapons, but the SUV was riddled with bullets.[3]

Bowhunter Security was assigned to protect Queen Perdita Vladek during her visit to Star City. The first stop was a tour of STAR Labs. A group of armored attackers broke into the facility and kidnapped Perdita, despite Bowhunter's efforts.[4]
