Brom created the Mister Twister armor with his boss. He wanted to wear the suit in an attempt to flush out and reprogram Red Tornado, but T.O. Morrow convinced him not to wear the suit himself. Instead, he also developed a lifelike android replica of himself. When Mister Twister was defeated and the android destroyed, Stikk was glad he was not in the armor.[2]

Stikk helped Morrow repair Red Torpedo and Red Inferno. However, he knew it wasn't Morrow himself, but an android replica. After the new menace Red Volcano was defeated, Stikk escaped to sit beside Morrow's bed in a hospital.[3]

Abilities and equipment

Brom has a background in robotic engineering.

Background information

  • In the comics, Bromwell Stikk is the second Mister Twister (the first being Dan Judd, a one-issue Superman villain), who controls the weather with a magic staff. He was later transformed into the obscure Teen Titans villain known as Gargoyle, but has since then not actively engaging in villainy.
  • When designing Brom Stikk, Character Designer Jerome Moore was instructed to make him a spindly fellow, reminiscent of Ichabod Crane from The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, in line with his name which plays on the word "broomstick."[4]
  • This is his first animated appearance.
