Dale married Casey Klebba.[2]

Dale responded to the large explosion in Silas Stone's lab. He and Casey found Silas in one piece and then helped clear the rubble off of a seriously injured Vic. He watched in horror as Silas used a Fatherbox to heal Victor, as the box created a large chamber to contain and heal him. When Vic emerged and tried to attack his father, Dale and Casey attempted to stop him, but were easily beaten aside by the empowered Vic. They watched as Violet Harper arrived and cleansed Vic of the Fatherbox's influence and Vic left with her.[3]

- Dale Gunn was an old friend of the first Commander Steel and an ally of the Justice League Detroit.
