Early history[]

Elongated Man made his heroic debut in 2016. Elongated Man joined the Justice League in 2017.[3]

Elongated Man piloted the Javelin during the Justice League's assault on the Orphanage. Like the rest of the squad, he quickly fell under the influence of the Anti-Life Equation.[4]

He was present with the rest of the Leaguers as the members of the Team infiltrating the Orphanage were caught and brought under control by Granny Goodness. As a non-meta-human, he suffered the ill effects of the Ghost Dimension.[4]

He stood by with the other thralls as Granny Goodness was reconstituted with Gretchen Goode, and Vic Stone arrived to free Halo, who in turn freed Elongated Man and the others from Granny's control and healed them. The League then destroyed Granny's device and took her minions into custody.[5]

 
The Javelin
February 24, 19:00 EST

Elongated Man was among the Leaguers on the Javelin who called into a meeting of the League, the Team, the Outsiders and Batman's team on the Watchtower. He was part of the unanimous vote to elect Black Lightning as the League's new leader.[6]

Powers and abilities[]

  • Malleability: By means of a potion,[7] Elongated Man has the ability to stretch and bend his body and limbs.[4]

Background information[]

  • Ralph Dibny, the Elongated Man, is a superhero with stretchy limbs. He received his powers from consuming extract from the rare gingo fruit. Dibny is also one of the world's greatest detectives. He began as a supporting character to the Flash and later joined the Justice League.
  • This is his third animated appearance. He appeared in Justice League Unlimited and Batman: The Brave and the Bold.
