History[]

Early history[]

At some point, Faora was sentenced to five years in the Phantom Zone,[2] and came to serve the House of Zod.[3]

31st century (original timeline)[]

Faora was among the followers of Dru-Zod released from the Phantom Zone by the United Planets and resettled on Daxam. Within 15 years, Zod took his followers to a nearby world with a yellow sun, then led the empowered group in an uprising against the United Planets. They were all sent back to the Phantom Zone by the Legion of Super-Heroes, save Lor-Zod, who was spared due to his youth, and went back in time to the 21st century to prevent the Legion's formation.[4]

2020 (revised timeline)[]

Faora and her fellow Kryptonians came out of the Zods' encampment to greet Dru-Zod and his new guest, Superboy. She led the others in kneeling before Zod.

Later, she worked with the others to continue building the structure, while leading them in a chant in praise of the House of Zod.[3]

The Zods and their followers caught Nightwing, Zatanna, Rocket, Kaldur'ahm and Tigress approaching Superboy. Dru attempted to persuade the group that they should all be released as their sentences had long been served, and had his followers attack to force the issue when the group refused. Nightwing's team was easily captured, but escaped thanks to a glamour spell.

Soon after, a boom tube opened up. Zod decided to go through with Ursa, Faora and Superboy, leaving the rest behind until he knew it was safe.

They emerged on the planet Trombus, where Zod and Ursa were greeted in Kryptonian by their yet-to-be-born son.[5] Ma'alefa'ak psychically uploaded the English language into the Kryptonians' minds.[2][6]

Faora returned through the boom tube and began giving instructions, but the tube closed shortly after, only to reopen again a little later. Nightwing's team defended the tube to prevent anyone going through. Faora urged her fellows to build their rage to summon a Devourer. As it approached, she had the Kryptonians calm themselves, leaving the Devourer to attack their foes, forcing them back into the boom tube. Faora became intangible to pass through the Devourer into the tube, but was caught by Kaldur'ahm midway through, where the normal laws of physics resumed. She raged that she had only been sentenced to five years, and angruly refused Kaldur's suggestion of parole. The Devourer bit Faora's arm and carried her away.[2] Faora escaped the Devourer with minor injuries to her face and arm.[7]

Faora and Non came through a newly opened boom tube while the others gathered the rest of Zod's army. As Zod's group was under attack, they joined the battle. Rocket placed her in a force bubble and dropped her into a boom tube back to the Zone.

Over the next few days, Klarion hunted down all the Kryptonians in the Zone and placed them in stasis on the Warworld.[7]
