History[]

2010[]

Cape Canaveral
August 19, 20:48 EDT

Carol Ferris asked Thomas Kalmaku to scrub the launch of a rocket with research technology after she noticed Batman and Robin fight the League of Shadows at the launch pad. Tom discovered that the systems were hacked, and he could not stop the countdown. It was clear to Carol that the rocket's original payload, ozone layer measuring instruments, had to have been replaced with something else. Ra's al Ghul had a diamond lens installed to allow him to destroy cities by focusing the sun's rays. Robin was able to remove the lens before launch.[1]

2016[]

Cape Canaveral
March 19, 20:59 EDT

Carol Ferris gave a press conference about the company's new Earth-Mars Communications Satellite. She defended the project against G. Gordon Godfrey's criticism.

As the scheduled launch drew closer, Carol joined engineer Thomas Kalmaku in the Launch Control Center. Because the site was attacked, she sped up the countdown. The missile launched successfully, but exploded in the air.[2]
