Hardware is a member of the Justice League, and formerly of Batman's covert team.[4]
Physical appearance[]
Hardware is a tall, dark skinned man who has pale gray eyes. He dons a suit of armor that is form-fitted to his athletic physique, with twin cannons affixed to either shoulder and a red helmet encasing his entire head. His upper pectorals, shoulders, quadriceps, and forearms are reinforced with thick platings that luster with a metallic sheen.

Early history[]
Hardware became a hero in 2015 at the age of 32,[5] and joined the Justice League around December 2017.[6]
2018[]

He remotely attended an emergency League meeting in which Batman proposed to dissolve the team, as a result of the restrictions placed by the United Nations on their actions. After he tendered his resignation, Hardware was among the ones who promptly followed suit, presumably having planned it in advance.[3]
He subsequently joined Batman's new covert group.[4]

He escorted Helga Jace into a laboratory that was on loan to her. He read the gratitude in her smile, of which he graciously returned.[7]
2019[]

Hardware was among the members of Batman's team in the Batcave who called in to a meeting of the Justice League, the Team and the Outsiders on the Watchtower. As part of the meeting, it was decided that Batman's team would be folded back into the Justice League.[4]

- Hardware is one of the heroes from Milestone Media, like Icon and Static. Curt Metcalf is a gifted engineer with an advanced armor.
