Hook is an assassin that works for the League of Shadows.

Physical appearance[]

Hook is a muscular Caucasian man with light brown eyes and white hair brushed forward in a Caesar style. He sports a large metallic hook for a right hand. He wears bandages around his torso and left hand, and a green jacket. He wears blue cargo pants and black boots.[2]

Black Spider, Cheshire and Hook attended a meeting with Sensei, who gave them instructions to assassinate Selena Gonzalez, the CEO of Farano Enterprises.[3]

Black Spider and Hook infiltrated Gonzalez's office. Kid Flash, Robin and Aqualad tried to protect her, but the assassins captured the three young heroes after a short fight. Black Spider tied them up.[3]

The heroes broke loose and defeated Hook and Black Spider. Selena Gonzalez escaped and was killed by assassins waiting outside. Hook and Spider were taken to jail, but escaped the next day.[4]

Cheshire brought Hook and Black Spider along on the hit on Serling Roquette. Hook took on Miss Martian, who telekinetically directed his hook back at him, knocking him out.[2]

 
Belle Reve Parish
September 16, post-21:55 CDT

He was taken to Belle Reve Penitentiary, where he helped with Icicle Sr.'s breakout attempt. He stood guard outside Amanda Waller's office with Abra Kadabra and Professor Ojo. Hook, Abra, and Ojo were all frozen to a wall by Icicle Jr. when he was tricked into helping Superboy get the prison under control again.[5]

 
Belle Reve Penitentiary

After an ambush on the Team involving Belle Reve in-mates made it clear the prison was under the Light's control, Vandal Savage called Hugo Strange to alert him, instructing him to open all the doors.[6]

Abilities and equipment[]

  • Weaponized hook: Hook attacks his enemies with a hook attached to his right arm connected by a chain, which can be shot at enemies.
  • Martial arts: Hook seems to have been trained in martial arts of sort.

Background information[]

  • In the comics, Hook was popularly known as the killer of acrobat Boston Brand, also known as Deadman.
  • This is Hook's second animated appearance; in his first, in Batman: The Brave and the Bold, he had a non-speaking part and most of his features were obscured by shadow, with the exception of his hook.
