Marie and her son Garfield were attending an injured oryx when Bialyan troops broke the border. It caused a stampede of wildebeest that went straight for them, but the Team managed to divert it.
Marie and Garfield took the Team and the injured animals to the main compound. The Team had drawn the attention of the Bialyan air force, who used drones against the sanctuary. A barn was destroyed, and Garfield grievously injured. Marie and Miss Martian took care of him, while the others formed a plan to head to the capital.[1]
The sanctuary was still being rebuilt after the attack. Conner and Megan came for a visit.[2]
