While hallucinating due to psychic trauma, Beast Boy took Superboy up to the surface to "save" him from an imaginary Brion Markov. A sandstorm prevented Superboy from absorbing solar radiation, and a chunk of rock pierced his oxygen tank. Gar ran off to find some sun. Ultimately, Gar was healed by Saturn Girl posing as Miss Martian, and he and Superboy were rescued by J'emm J'axx and Baby.[1]
