Hro Talak investigated a Thanagarian Nth Metal refinery, alongside Superman, Wonder Woman, Guy Gardner, Hawkman, and Hawkwoman. He scoffed at Superman's suggestion of Apokoliptan involvement and informed the Leaguers that his scanners had only detected Earthling bio-signs. As Hawkman argued that Earth meta-humans were being used as weapons for Apokolips, Talak criticized the work that the Justice League was doing to handle that problem. He then pointed out the similarity between this incident and the League's attack on Rimbor, remarking that Thanagar was still repairing their damaged reputation. He curtly dismissed the group and walked away.

Background information

• Hro Talak was created for the animated series Justice League as a twisted variant of Hawkman; his name is an anagram of Katar Hol. He was a hardliner in the war against the Gordanians.
  • Hro Talak himself was loosely based upon Fel Andar, a Thanagarian spy who first appeared in The Shadow War of Hawkman as well as the Hawkman that joined the Justice League International.
• After his aforementioned animated debut, this is the first appearance of Hro in any medium.
