J. Anson Schwartz is a director on Space Trek 3016.
History[]
2018[]
|
During the filming of a new episode, Schwartz was happy with the performance, but was pressured by Gretchen Goode to retake the shot. Garfield was angered and stormed off set and Schwartz went after to calm him down, reasoning to fix whatever issues he has with Gretchen. Garfield said there was no fixing the problem and threatened to quit the show. However, Schwartz managed to convince him otherwise, reminding Garfield he is not only the star of the show, but informed him that everyone would be out of work and Gretchen would sue him until she took everything away from him.[2]
2018-2020[]
Due to his newfound responsibilities with the Outsiders, Garfield began to arrive late to rehearsals. Although somewhat frustrated, J.A understood and comprised since despite his new duties, Garfield still remained focused on his acting and committed to his role on the show.[3]
2020[]
|
Schwartz and the crew began to face new difficulties on set with Garfield when he remained unfocused and lacked effort or enthusiasm during filming. With everyone growing frustrated and on overtime, Schwartz took Garfield aside and tried to encourage him to put in more effort, but to no avail.

Schwartz took Garfield aside again and began to express his annoyance with his performance. He mentions how in spite of previous problems with Granny Goodness and new responsibilities to the Outsiders, Garfield still remained sharp on set, but pointed out this past year Garfield has been completely unfocused as if he was a million miles away. Aware of Superboy's passing, he offered studio resources to help Gar deal with his grief, who refused reasoning he was just tired. Schwartz offered Garfield some downtime and revealed his fellow cast member, Harvey's popularity had risen and can fill in until Gar is ready to return. Schwartz gave him time to think over his decision, assuring everyone loves and cares for him, but needed to think what is best for the show.
Filming later resumed with Harvey taking over Garfield's role and managed to finish the scene, much to Schwartz's delight and relief.[3]
