By 2018, his hair has gone completely white.[4]
History[]
2010[]
|
When all children had gone missing, Commissioner Gordon helped the police defend STAR Labs from angry citizens. He promised them that they were working hard on a solution, and violence would not solve a thing.[3]
2014[]
Gordon found out that his daughter was Batgirl in 2014,[5] after she began her heroic career in 2013.[6]
2018[]
|
Due to the mounting political pressure against vigilantes working outside the United Nations, Gordon disassociated the GCPD from the ex-Justice Leaguer Batman by shutting down the "infamous" Bat-signal.[4]
2019[]
|
With the Outsiders and the Justice League trending highly positive, Gordon reactivated the Bat-signal to a cheering crowd.[7]
Appearances[]
Background information[]
- In most media, James Gordon is a staunch ally of Batman. His faith in the Dark Knight causes him to turn a blind eye to some of Batman's more questionable methods, believing it to be for the greater good. Whether he knows Batman's true identity as Bruce Wayne is heavily implied, but it's ultimately irrelevant to him.
- This is Commissioner Gordon's eleventh animated appearance. He has appeared in The Batman/Superman Hour, Super Friends, The New Adventures of Batman, the DC Animated Universe (Batman: The Animated Series, The New Batman Adventures, Static Shock and three feature films), The Batman, Batman: The Brave and the Bold, Justice League: The New Frontier, Batman: Gotham Knight, Batman: Under the Red Hood and Batman: Year One.
