Nanaue was at the Conservatory when Kaldur'ahm arrived with his friends Miss Martian and Superboy. When they found Topo, a recent victim of a purist attack, Sha'ark remarked that he had that coming because he was no predator.[2]

King Sha'ark attacked Ronal. Lori accused Ronal and his friends of being purists and responsible for an attack on Topo. Nanaue was planning to eat Ronal, but Aqualad intervened.[2]

With the other students, King Sha'ark came to Aqualad's aide when they were ambushed by purists. He was quite eager to eat some, though Lori urged him not to.

Ocean-Master's magic weakened him, and he was about to be gutted by a purist when Topo used his ink spout and dragged him away. Sha'ark did not like being saved by the squid. Though he was out of direct danger, he was too weak to participate in the final fight with Ocean-Master in the S'atiroman Cave.[3]

King Sha'ark did not at all like the fact that Ronal had been pardoned, after he turned on Ocean-Master. Lori tried to calm Sha'ark down, but it took Topo to convince him not to eat the former purist.[3]

Powers and abilities Edit

  • Atlantean attributes: Atlanteans, although human, have through scientific and sorcerous means[2] developed several abilities which allow them to live comfortably under the sea:
  • Breathe underwater: All Atlanteans are capable of surviving the aquatic atmosphere under the sea. Some accomplish this without the presence of visible gills.[4][2]
  • Temperature resilience: Resistant to low temperatures[5] and the effects of freezing,[6] although notably hindered by high temperatures.[7]
  • Durability: Dense flesh, although not invulnerable.[8][2][9]
  • Strength: Ranging from undetected levels to super strength.[6][2][10]

Appearances Edit

Background information Edit
