Kraig is a G-Gnome.

Kraig was one of a trio of G-Gnomes tasked with educating Superboy as part of Project Kr.[3] Superboy's programming included scenarios where he had to kill a rogue Superman.[4]

Kraig and the other G-Gnomes were in Superboy's pod when Aqualad, Robin and Kid Flash found him. They received orders from Dr. Desmond via another G-Gnome to instruct Superboy to attack his would-be liberators.[3]

In the aftermath of Superboy's rescue, Kraig missed him and escaped Cadmus to follow him.[5]

Kraig found Superboy. Kraig's psychic abilities picked up the psychic residue of past events at the site, and because of their close bond, forced Superboy to relive Joker's attack on Mount Justice years before.[6][5]

Superboy continued to experience the past events, and eventually came to realize they were not real. The illusion dissipated, and Superboy found Kraig.[5]

Kraig and the other genomorphs were liberated from Cadmus by Superboy and his allies, and taken to a new land, where they built Geranium City to replace the destroyed Genomorph City.[7]

Superboy introduced Kraig to Forager while giving the latter a tour of Geranium City. Conner called him his oldest friend. Later, in Dubbilex's office, he used his telepathy to help Dubbilex explain the history of Geranium City to Forager, and sided with Dubbilex as he tried to convince Conner to publicly help the Genomorph cause.[7]
