Physical appearance[]
History[]
Early history[]
At some point, Kru was sent to the Phantom Zone and came to serve the House of Zod.[1]
2020[]
|
Kru and his fellow Kryptonians came out of the Zods' encampment to greet Dru-Zod and his new guest, Superboy, and at Faora Hu-Ul's urging they all knelt before Zod.
Later, he worked with the others to continue building the structure, while taking part in a chant in praise of the House of Zod.[1]
|
The Zods and their followers caught Nightwing, Zatanna, Rocket, Kaldur'ahm and Tigress approaching Superboy. Dru attempted to persuade the group that they should all be released as their sentences had long been served, and had his followers attack to force the issue when the group refused. Nightwing's team was easily captured, but escaped thanks to a glamour spell.
Soon after, a boom tube opened up. Zod decided to go through with Ursa, Faora and Superboy, leaving the rest behind until he knew it was safe.[2]
|
Faora returned through the boom tube and relayed the general's orders to gather the rest of the army, but the tube closed shortly after, only to reopen again a little later. Nightwing's team defended the tube to prevent anyone going through. Zatanna used magic to force Kru, Jax-Ur and Vor-Kil to fight each other, until Non stopped them. Faora urged her fellows to build their rage to summon a Devourer. As it approached, she had the Kryptonians calm themselves, leaving the Devourer to attack their foes, forcing them back into the boom tube. After Faora attempted to get through the tube, only to be stopped by the team and dragged off by the Devourer, Kru and the rest charged into the tube. Rocket blocked the tube with a force bubble, and when the tube began to destabilize due to being open for so long, Kru and the other Kryptonians retreated back into the Zone.[3]
Kru, Vor and Jax went to gather Zod's army ready for another boom tube to open. General Zod was defeated and sent back to the Zone before they could return. Over the next few days, Klarion hunted down all the Kryptonians in the Zone and placed them in stasis on the Warworld.[4]
|
Kru was held in stasis as Vandal Savage and Ultra-Humanite admired their new captives.[4]
Powers and abilities[]
While in the Phantom Zone, it is possible to manifest certain abilities through sheer force of will. Kru-El has learned to make himself intangible at will.[2]
