"Get on board, or get out of the way"[]

A line uttered in frustration by Superboy would be long remembered.

"Hello, Megan!" and derivatives[]

Used as a catchphrase in the in-world show Hello, Megan!, the phrase has been adopted by Miss Martian, and her teammates to a lesser extent. Used primarily to express exasperation at themselves, similar to Homer Simpson's D'oh.

  • In "Welcome to Happy Harbor", M'gann used the phrase:
  • In "Drop-Zone", M'gann used the exclaimation when it was decided Aqualad should be leader.
  • In "Infiltrator", M'gann used the expression as she declared they should hit the beach every day.
  • In "Denial":
    • M'gann said the phrase when she realized they hadn't truly answered the Tower of Fate security system's question.
    • Wally used it to tell M'gann he had gotten them tickets to a magic show.
  • In "Downtime", M'gann used the phrase after she accidentally covered Superboy in food while preparing to cook.
  • In "Bereft", M'gann said it:
    • after realizing she was on Earth, not Mars.
    • after recognising Kid Flash and Artemis.
    • in a flashback during her mind-meld with Superboy.
    • after remembering she needed to restore Aqualad's memories.
    • M'gann's mind-meld with Superboy also included a clip of Megan Wheeler saying it in Hello, Megan!.
  • In "Fears", M'gann used it when she realized her teammates already knew she was from Mars while describing her backstory.
  • In "Targets", Megan Morse used the phrase when she made the cheerleading team.
  • In "Revelation":
    • Artemis said "Hello, Wally!" when she pointed out to him that the Team would be fighting the Injustice League.
    • Miss Martian used the phrase when she was prompted to open a hatch to escape the flooding Bio-Ship.
  • In "Humanity", Miss Martian said it when she realized Red Tornado's intention to become more human by becoming the Team's den-mother.
  • In "Failsafe", Kid Flash said "Hello, Wally!" when he concluded the aliens were teleporting rather than disintegrating their targets.
  • In "Disordered", M'gann dejectedly used the phrase as she took the blame for the telepathic simulation going awry.
  • In "Image":
    • M'gann watched Hello, Megan! in her room, where Megan Wheeler used her catchphrase.
    • Robin, Kid Flash and Superboy watched a few minutes of a Hello, Megan! episode. They saw the main title, where the theme song uses the phrase multiple times, then in the episode proper, Megan says it after realizing she had already made a study date with her boyfriend as she was about the leave.
    • Kid Flash used the phrase after Robin prompted him about his souvenir, the Hello, Megan! tape, which led to them asking M'gann about her connection to the show.
  • In "Performance", Miss Martian said it when she came up with the idea to read Jack Haly's mind to see if he was telling the truth.
  • In "Alienated", Miss Martian exclaimed the phrase when the rest of the Team boarded the Bio-Ship to find her and Martian Manhunter still disguised as Krolotean
  • In "Darkest", Beast Boy watched Hello, Megan! in his room, during which Megan Wheeler said the phrase.
  • In "Torch Songs, Part 1":
    • The Hello, Megan! theme song was played.
    • Megan/M'gann said it when she remembered she had to take care of the school frog.
  • In "Torch Songs, Part 2", Megan said it when admitting she was nervous about singing at the school show.
  • In "Away Mission", Bart said it after receiving a text from M'gann to begin a mission.
  • In "Rescue Op", M'gann used the phrase after coming up with the idea to use Bio-Ship to house Forager and Brion.
  • In "Nightmare Monkeys":
    • Artemis said it when she realized what Doctor Fate had meant when he examined Halo.
    • Gar hallucinated Mento saying "Hello, Garfield!" as he explained how he survived the Doom Patrol's fatal final mission.
    • Gar hallucinated a portion of the Hello, Megan! main theme.
    • In the imaginary episode of Hello, Megan!, Megan Wheeler said it as she remembered having fresh honey.
  • In "Illusion of Control", Kid Flash said it after realizing that he had been running in circles.
  • In "Terminus", Miss Martian said it during Nightwing's fever dream of them all as their younger selves.
  • In "Involuntary", Conner used the phrase after he realized that the residue that he found at the crime scene was actually left by magic while watching the magical light show.
  • In "Nomed Esir!":
  • In "Ego and Superego", Tara said "Sveika, Megan!" to highlight how obvious Harper Row's crush on Violet had been to her.
  • In "Over and Out", Kid Flash said it as Bio-Ship appeared as a means of getting himself and his allies back to Earth from Trombus.

"Souvenir!"[]

After the Team formed, Kid Flash was very fond of collecting souvenirs, and often exclaimed "Souvenir!" upon acquiring one. After he left the Team, others took up his cause and catchphrase.

"Psimon says..."[]

Psimon often uses this phrase, based on the children's game, when making a psychic attack or expressing an opinion.

  • In "Bereft", Psimon said "Psimon says forget" before attempting to erase Miss Martian's memories a second time.
  • In "Image":
    • Psimon said "Psimon says show me who, or rather what, you really are" before forcing Miss Martian to take on her true Martian form.
    • Psimon said "Psimon says smartly done" after Miss Martian rendered her teammates unconscious to prevent them seeing her true form.
    • Psimon said "I didn't say Psimon says" after he stopped M'gann's attempt to brain blast him.
  • In "Beneath":
    • After Icicle Jr. questioned the wisdom of abducting a "bat brat", Psimon said "Psimon says he just doesn't care."
    • While under attack from Bumblebee, Psimon exclaimed "Psimon says enough!" Bumblebee responded "Bumblebee says goodnight" as she dealt a knockout blow.
  • In "The Fix", Psimon exclaims "Psimon says: reveal your secrets!" when he realizes that Tigress is not whom she appears to be.
  • In "Torch Songs, Part 1", Psimon warns Batgirl not to touch him, "Psimon says he'll brain blast you into oblivion."
  • In "Torch Songs, Part 2", Psimon uses the phrase as he explains what he has done to Miss Martian.

"Count Vertigo to you, peasant"[]

As a member of the Vlatavan royal family, Count Vertigo demands the respect of his full title.

"Holy Moly!"[]

A favorite exclamation among the Shazam family.

  • In "Misplaced", Captain Marvel said it upon realizing the world had been split in two dimensions.
  • In "Odnu!", Mary Bromfield said it upon seeing the remains of Marvin Fargo.
  • In "Og Htrof Dna Reuqnoc!":
    • Mary said it upon seeing Sydney ravaged by a volcano.
    • She exclaimed "Holy freaking Moly!" upon finding gravity reversed in New York City.
    • She started to say it again after arriving in Taipei to find it invaded by demons, but Thirteen interrupted her: "Don't even say it."

"Chum"[]

Chum, a word that means "friend" as well as fish bait, is a favorite expression used by King Sha'ark and Lagoon Boy.

  • In "Under the Surface...":
    • Sha'ark called Aqualad chum when he reminded him to call him King.
    • Sha'ark called Ronal chum when he questioned if the suspected purist left because he felt outnumbered.
    • Sha'ark called Superboy chum, suspecting surface dwellers were tastier.
    • Sha'ark called Topo chum when it was found out he had been attacked by purists. He then noted that chum gets what it deserves: to be swallowed.
    • Superboy turned the tables, calling Sha'ark chum after the Atlantean threatened Miss Martian.
    • Sha'ark referred to Topo as chum when he called him to leave with the other "impure" Atlanteans following their showdown with the suspected purists.
  • In "...Here There be Monsters":
    • Sha'ark called Lori Lemaris chum after she prevented him eating a purist.
    • When Topo rescued Sha'ark from the purists, Sha'ark grumbled that "chum never rescues Sha'ark."
    • Sha'ark used the word when he found out King Orin had pardoned Ronal.
  • In "Happy New Year":
    • After losing a sparring match, Lagoon Boy vowed to one day defeat Nightwing, calling him "chum".
    • After Lagoon Boy released the Kroloteans' captives from their holding cell, UN Secretary Tseng apologized for their reaction to Lagoon Boy's alien-looking appearance. He brushed it off, saying he got that reaction a lot, "chum."
  • In "Depths", Lagoon Boy scornfully called Superboy "chum" after Miss Martin fed him some cooked crab.
  • In "Darkest", La'gaan called Aqualad "chum" all the while promising to get back at him for his betrayal.
  • In "Emergency Dive", M'Chiste derisively referred to Kaldur'ahm as Orin's chum.

"Neptune's Beard"[]

King Sha'ark and Lagoon Boy use the facial hair of their patron god as an expletive.

  • In "...Here There be Monsters", Sha'ark invoked the phrase in frustration at owing Topo his life.
  • In "Players, Chapter Two: Directly to Jail", Lagoon Boy used the phrase as he remarked that the abduction of certain heroes and the forcefield forming around Metropolis could not be a coincidence.
  • In "Happy New Year":
    • Lagoon Boy exclaimed "Neptune's Beard" upon losing a sparring match with Nightwing.
    • He invoked it again when he was not assigned to Alpha Squad.
  • In "Alienated":
  • In "Depths":
    • Lagoon Boy bemoaned that he was stereotyped as "the water guy" while Miss Martian was assigned to a mission with Superboy and exclaimed "Neptune's Beard" in frustration.
    • He shouted it later in anger after Superboy called him a "rookie".
  • In "Darkest", he exclaimed it before telling Aqualad that he could not believe he had once idolized him.
  • In "The Fix":
    • He shouted it while struggling with Nightwing and Superboy to get out of the hospital bed and go save Miss Martian.
    • Later on, he exclaimed it after finding out that Aqualad is not a traitor and Artemis is not really dead.
  • In "Intervention", he exclaimed it after Miss Martian decides to break up with him, suspecting it was because of Superboy.
  • In "Endgame", Lagoon Boy shouted it in Greek (Poseidonos Pogon!)[1] after successfully neutralizing the Magnetic Field Disruptor in the Atlantic Ocean.
  • In "Nautical Twilight", La'gaan said it as he thanked Artur for "saving" him during their game.
  • In "Ebb Tide", La'gaan said it as the pillar of fire was extinguished and he was reminded of a prophecy.
  • In "Emergency Dive", La'gaan exclaimed it upon seeing the remains of an ancient statue of someone who greatly resembled Wyynde.
  • In "Leviathan Wakes":
    • La'gaan said it as he complained about how long the mission was taking, worried he would miss his child's birth.
    • He said it again as he celebrated driving off the giant crab.
  • In "Ego and Superego", La'gaan used the phrase in celebration after the ribbon was cut at the dedication ceremony for the site of the new Hall of Justice.

"Angelfish"[]

Angelfish is Lagoon Boy's pet name for Miss Martian.

  • In "Happy New Year" he called Miss Martian "Angelfish" as he welcomed her home.
  • In "Alienated", Miss Martian surmised that the Kroloteans were trying to build a new ship, at which point Lagoon Boy chimed in and calls her "Angelfish".
  • In "Salvage", as he invited her to resume their movie night.
  • In "Depths":
    • He said it to M'gann as he explained to her that he couldn't help himself from chomping down on cooked crabs.
    • He referred to Miss Martian so, as he told Nightwing he was eager to join her on her assignment.
  • In "The Fix":
    • He said it to M'gann as he encouraged her to read Green Beetle's mind.
    • He said it to M'gann again when he asked her to go somewhere private to talk.
    • Later on, he said it again to M'gann while pleading her to open up about why she has been avoiding him.
  • In "Intervention":
    • He said it after he was reunited with Miss Martian.
    • He said it again when he tried and failed to convince M'gann not to end their relationship.

"Noted"[]

Beast Boy, eager to please, continually uses the term "noted" when he receives useful information, even if he doesn't fully understand it. A number of his friends have picked up the habit.

"Meat"[]

The Reach use the derogatory word "meat" to refer to organic life forms such as humans. Impulse picked up the term from them.

  • In "Salvage":
  • In "Bloodlines":
    • While trying to convince the Team he was a tourist from the future, Impulse said that half the "meat" at Comic-Con were from his era.
    • Impulse referred to Neutron as meat as he and Flash easily dodged Neutron's energy blasts.
    • One of Neutron's handlers noted that his Meta-Gene performed well against the meat–Flash and Impulse.
  • In "Darkest", the scientist followed her justification for experimenting on an Atlantean by saying that "fresh meat is fresh meat."
  • In "Before the Dawn":
    • Black Beetle thought the scientist's desire to study the malfunctioning Scarab was really because she enjoyed playing with the meat.
    • When the scientist told him they would need a new host after rebooting the Scarab, Black Beetle was not concerned as meat was plentiful on Earth.
    • When Black Beetle sealed the docking bay with most of the Team inside, he referred to them as "meat".
  • In "True Colors":
    • Black Beetle calls Impulses "meat" while admitting he does not move as fast as the speedster.
    • Arsenal fired his laser at Black Beetle's armor. When it regenerated Black Beetle gibed "Anymore tricks? Meat?".
  • In "Runaways":
    • Black Beetle noted how equally important it was that Blue Beetle be seen as a true hero as well as Green Beetle rebooting Jaime's scarab "to control the meat inside".
    • He also reassured Blue Beetle and Black Beetle that "the meat will soon be eating out of their hands...".
  • In "War", while assessing Mongul's attack on Earth, the scientist notes that "a 23% saturation is enough to decimate a hemisphere and spoil all Earth's meat."
  • In "The Hunt":
    • Black Beetle remarks that the ambassador "refuses to allow an attack on the Justice meat guarding the Key Chamber".
    • He also notes that Mongul's attack on Earth alerted the "human meat" to their hidden invasion force.
    • The scientist reports to the ambassador that the "meat designated 'Arsenal'" is still on the run.
    • While pursuing Eduardo Dorado Jr., Black Beetle addresses him as "meat", inviting him to willingly teleport himself into a stasis chamber.
  • In "Intervention", while maneuvering Blue Beetle to pose as a hero, the ambassador tries to allay the scientist's concerns about their public image by saying, "the meat loves their heroes."
  • In "Summit":
    • Black Beetle warns Black Manta to keep his "whelp meat" silent.
    • After Vandal Savage flees from the fight, Black Beetle calls him "cowardly meat".
    • When Ra's al Ghul tries to dissuade the Reach from fighting the Team, Black Beetle concludes that "every piece of meat on the Light is a coward".
    • After skewering Ra's for his cowardice, Black Beetle declares "such is the fate of all meat".
    • When the Reach's invitation to stay on Earth is rescinded, Black Beetle says "the meat can have their way".
  • In "Endgame":
    • Black Beetle declares it's "time to leave this meat-infested world".
    • When the Team infiltrates their ship, Black Beetle announces that "all the hero meat will die".
    • Black Beetle tells Green Beetle that destroying one's scarab "would kill most meat".
    • While fighting Blue Beetle, Black remarks, "you fight back, meat, but you cannot survive against me".

"Ta-da!"[]

Bart Allen has a habit of flamboyantly proclaiming his successes.

"Crash" and "Crash the mode"[]

To the Reach, "crashing the mode" refers to a loss of control or failure.[2] Humans have inverted its meaning: "crashing the mode" refers to success; to be "crash" is to be cool. In general, such terms are used to indicate happiness and positivity.

  • In "Bloodlines":
    • Bart noted that the word "impulse" was crash before taking it as his alias.
    • Nightwing repeated the unfamiliar term after sending Robin and Beast Boy to capture Impulse.
    • When Nightwing later caught Bart himself, he declared that "that was crash." Impulse begged to differ, adding that he was "totally feeling the mode."
    • Impulse later said he didn't mind if he was called Bart or Impulse, it was all crash.
    • When Beast Boy asked him about the meaning of "mode", Impulse said that it is always better to crash the mode.
    • Upon introducing himself to his grandfather, Impulse described their meeting as crash.
    • While saying goodbye, Impulse said it was crash to see his grandfather.
    • When Barry told Bart that he looked forward to watching him grow up, Bart responded that that will be crash.
    • When Nathaniel saw that Bart had altered the timeline, he exclaimed "that kid is so crash".
  • In "Satisfaction":
    • Impulse wondered why the fallen Justice League and Team members didn't get the public statues—"big, crashing memorials"—he felt they deserved.
    • Impulse invited Jaime to hang out, saying it would be totally crash.
  • In "Darkest":
    • Impulse disregarded Jaime's concern for hiding their secret identities, and asked what was the point of hiding how crash they are.
    • Impulse asked if his self-portrait was crash. Blue Beetle affirmed it was "totally crash."
    • Impulse told Aqualad that him tracking down Blue Beetle was not crash. Not crash at all.
  • In "Cornered", while trying to dissuade Blue Beetle from telling the League about his role in ushering in the Reach apocalypse, Impulse assures Beetle that if he sticks with him, he with keep him from "feeling the mode".
  • In "True Colors", when Robin points out to Impulse that he is the wrong mode (the right being stealth), Impulse declares that he "crashes all modes".
  • In "The Fix":
    • When Blue Beetle agrees to meet up with Impulse first thing in the morning he replies "Sounds crash".
    • When Jaime told Impulse he was permanently free from the Reach's control Bart shockingly replied "Crash..."
  • In "Intervention":
    • When Zatanna tells Impulse that he can take Queen Bee's minions down, he exclaims "Crash!".
    • Impulse exclaimed it again later, when Green Beetle was subdued by a wall of fire.
  • In "Summit", Impulse thought it was "so crash!" that Wally wanted him to take on the Kid Flash mantle after he went back into retirement.
  • In "Endgame":
    • Impulse joined Flash at the North Magnetic Pole to crash the last MFD's mode.
    • Impulse declared it was crash when Kid Flash joined them.
    • In dialogue cut from the scene of the heroes' briefing, Kid Flash comforted a despondent Impulse by telling him he would "crash" the Reach, before asking if he had used the word correctly.[3]
  • In "Princes All", Oracle thought the results of the analysis of the Tar sample were crash.
  • In "Away Mission", Bart thought the Team's mission to space was crash.
  • In "Nightmare Monkeys":
  • In "True Heroes", Jeff called Forager's Halloween "costume" "very crash."
  • In "Influence", Brion described the Watchtower as "very crash" after his first visit.
  • In "Leverage", Ed described counselors Dinah and Megan as "crash" at the Meta-Human Youth Center induction, before clarifying he meant "great."
  • In "Illusion of Control":
    • Artemis said it was crash Tara was joining them for Thanksgiving.
    • Bart asked why the "slow" bumper cars were considered "even slightly crash."
  • In "First Impression":
    • Bart used "crash" to describe the Hub.
    • Bart said "mode crashed, literally" after the Outsiders brought down a War Bug.
  • In "Early Warning", Static remembered Joan Garrick as "so crash" after being reminded that her funeral was that day.
  • In "Elder Wisdom", Gar thought it was crash that #WeAreAllOutsiders was still trending.
  • In "Unknown Factors", Gar and Vic exclaimed "crash!" after testing Vic's strength went unexpectedly well.
  • In "Inhospitable", Gar exclaimed "crash!" upon meeting Martian Outsiders fans.
  • In "Needful", a distracted Gar unenthusiastically described the Sacred River as crash.
  • In "Volatile", Gar excitedly exclaimed "this is so crash!" upon entering the Grand Hall of the Martian Royal Palace.
  • In "Involuntary":
    • Gar told Bio-Ship she was the "crashest ride ever."
    • Gar described the Royal Arena as "crash" and told J'emm J'axx his birthday party would "crush it", leading J'emm to believe the psychic translation was not working.
  • In "Artemis Through the Looking-Glass", Wonder Girl replied with a surprised "crash" after Gar told her he would skip the latest Outsiders mission to crash for a few hours.
  • In "Odnu!":
  • In "Nomed Esir!", Thirteen said she was "very crash" after Khalid Nassour healed her and the rest of the Sentinels' injuries.
  • In "Encounter Upon the Razor's Edge!", Rocket exclaimed "crash" after Jay Garrick blew out the candles on his birthday cake.
  • In "Ego and Superego", Beast Boy called out "So crash!" after the ribbon was cut at the dedication ceremony for the site of the new Hall of Justice.
  • In "Over and Out", Kid Flash called Green Lantern Forager's warp field "so crash," and said she was "breaking all modes" to get them to Earth as quickly as possible.

"Feeling the mode", "Moded" and derivatives[]

To the Reach, "on-mode" means to be within their control or in line with their plans.[4] Humans have inverted its meaning: to "feel the mode" is to fail or suffer; to be "moded" is to be doomed to failure. In general, such terms are used to indicate unhappiness and negativity.

  • In "Bloodlines":
    • After being caught by Nightwing, Impulse said he was feeling the mode.
    • Impulse warned that revealing to much about his time could alter the timestream, causing everyone to feel the mode. A confused Beast Boy then asked if the mode was bad, which Impulse emphatically affirmed.
    • Impulse forewarned that he, Flash and Kid Flash would feel the mode just before Neutron's first overload.
    • After the explosion Impulse said Neutron had felt the mode while trying to excuse himself and get to him. Kid Flash noted that Neutron wasn't "feeling modes", he was putting himself back together.
    • While pretending to be surprised he could not return to his own time, Impulse exclaimed he was moded.
  • In "Darkest":
    • Impulse remarked that a boulder destroyed by Blue Beetle was feeling the mode.
    • Impulse taunted Aqualad with "Moded!" after he took the tracking device Aqualad used to find Blue Beetle.
    • Impulse said he was moded after realizing he had lost his superspeed.
  • In "Intervention", Jaime was impressed that Impulse managed to keep the Team's efforts to release Blue Beetle from the Reach's control a secret, saying he was "motivated to take [his] mouth off-mode" because making sure Blue stayed a hero was the main reason why he came back to the past.
  • In dialogue cut from the scene of the heroes' briefing in "Endgame", Impulse said he was feeling the mode after his attempt to prevent the Reach from enslaving Earth led to the Reach trying to destroy it instead.[3]
  • In "Away Mission", Bart thought it was moded that they were performing an investigation without Robin to do the "detective thing".
  • In "Nightmare Monkeys", Gar referred to himself as "feeling the mode" as he discussed his reasons for leaving the hero life.
  • In "Illusion of Control":
    • Bart warned the others not to get too close to Count Vertigo or he would have them feeling the mode.
    • After a fruitless search of Taos Pueblo, Bart complained that every building looked exactly like every other in the "moded place".
  • In "First Impression":
    • Bart described the apparent return of the Reach as "so moded".
    • He reacted similarly to the Outsiders being arrested for helping.
  • In "Elder Wisdom", Kid Flash admitted to "feeling a little moded" after being hit by an exploding arrow.
  • In "Antisocial Pathologies", while confronting Oracle and Robin about the "Anti-Light"'s secrets, Gar asked them "didn't we feel enough of this mode when Artemis faked her death?"
  • In "Volatile", Beast Boy described his brain as "ma'al moded" after being brain blasted.
  • In "Teg Ydaer!", Thirteen responded to the damage to Roanoke Island caused by Child with "We. Are. So. Moded."
  • In "Emergency Dive", La'gaan exclaimed "moded" after the tunnel into the Undersea collapsed.
  • In "Zenith and Abyss", Nightwing warned his squad they would all feel the mode if they were caught by the Kryptonians in the Phantom Zone.

"Gotcha covered!" and derivatives[]

"Gotcha covered!" became a catchphrase for the Outsiders, but was used even before their formation.

  • In "Princes All", Black Lightning told Ice he has her covered as they fought Plasma.
  • In "Evolution", Dick used the phrase as he provided Conner with a shirt to replace one that got burned during training.
  • In "First Impression":
    • Beast Boy told Tigress he had her covered after she noted the depressing start to his speech launching a new public team.
    • He also said he had one more thing covered before showing off the headquarters he had arranged for the new team.
    • Gar used the phrase after Brion expressed delight at the private quarters available to each member.
    • He used it again for anyone who was hungry when showing the kitchen and dining area.
    • As the new team intervened in Brooklyn, Kid Flash told Aquaman they had him covered.
    • When Static lured a War Bug toward Geo-Force, Geo-Force told his partner to "consider it covered".
    • Wonder Girl told Blue Beetle she had him covered after she helped him prevent a War Bug from crash landing.
  • In "Early Warning":
    • After describing the possible outcomes for the rescued meta-teens, Beast Boy said the Outsiders had them covered.
    • After Ed said he wanted to join the Outsiders to inspire the teens at the Meta-Human Youth Center, Static asked "what part of 'we got you covered' didn't cover them?"
  • In "Volatile":
    • Windfall told Beast Boy she had Stargirl covered after he shouted a warning to her.
    • Miss Martian reminded Beast Boy that Cassie had the Outsiders covered when he complained about being unable to contact Earth.
    • Superboy told Beast Boy Baby had them covered after Gar expressed concern over Conner's lack of solar energy.

Ever confident of victory, the belief that they would "crush that magic" was common among the Henry Heywood High Steelworkers, and Vic Stone carried it over to his hero friends.

  • In "Exceptional Human Beings":
    • Vic asked his father to watch him "crush it" at his game.
    • Sebastian Cardona was sure the team would "crush that magic" at the coming game.
    • Ron Evers used the phrase to congratulate Vic after the game.
  • In "Another Freak":
    • An angry Vic berated his dad for missing him "crushin' it" at the game.
    • While under Fatherbox's control, Vic responded to being told he needed to calm down by saying he thought he was "crushing it."
  • In "True Heroes", Vic noted that as a stranger at the Halloween dance, he could be "crushin' a costume", rather than be seen as a freak.
  • In "Illusion of Control", Forager, enamored with Thanksgiving, asked Vic if all Earth holidays are "crushing that magic." Vic told him to ask someone else, saying that he wasn't crushing anything. Forager noted to Bio-Ship that it was Vic who was being crushed, and resolved to "un-crush" him.

  • In "Volatile", Beast Boy exclaimed "crushed that magic", after the Outsiders defeated Kobra.
  • In "Involuntary", Gar described the Royal Arena as "crash" and told J'emm J'axx his birthday party would "crush it", leading J'emm to believe the psychic translation was not working.
  • In "Odnu!", Thirteen told her fellow Sentinels of Magic that they "crushed that magic" after their training exercise.
