After attending a trade conference, Perdita Vladek got ready for a date with Garfield in her room at the Luthor Grande Hotel. While waiting, Gar tried a pair of Goode Goggles which attempted to brain wash him after testing for the Meta-Gene. The attempt failed, seemingly thanks to intervention from the Monkey God.[3]
Gar met with Gretchen Goode in her office. She praised him for the positive press stopping the mugger garnered. Now knowing her involvement in meta-human trafficking, Gar made it clear he was not on her side.[4]
After receiving intel on a meta-trafficking lab in Cuba, Beast Boy and Geo-Force left the Premiere Building for Happy Harbor, to rendezvous with the rest of the Outsiders. Before heading to school in Happy Harbor, Helga Jace told Halo they were dying.
While out on the streets, Vic Stone received an unwelcome phone call from his father, and soon after collapsed in an alley as his Fatherbox tech began to spread.[8]
In the Premiere Building, the Outsiders were relaxing when Helena Sandsmark, Eduardo Dorado Sr., and Jay Garrick showed up to speak with their wards about their heroics. Garfield received a call for help by a girl in Ireland, so he, Blue Beetle, and Static left the Premiere Building to help her.[9]
Forager brought Vic back to the Premiere Building after finding him in the street with Fatherbox tech spreading. After his friends went in pursuit of help, Silas Stone arrived to help his son. The others returned with Metron and used his Mobius Chair to heal Vic.[8]
At the Premiere Building, Beast Boy and Geo-Force returned after a mission against the Condiment King. Later, Gar and Vic experimented with Vic's powers in the gym, leading to some damage to the roof.
Meanwhile, Kaldur'ahm and Wyynde went to Gretchen Goode's mansion to retrieve Nightwing and Lightning. Goode allowed them to take them from the X-Pit, but once back at the mansion, had the brainwashed duo turn on their rescuers.
At the Premiere Building, Vic and Violet sensed a Motherbox in distress and boom tubed to Gretchen's mansion. After Halo cleansed Nightwing and Lightning of Goode's control, they all returned to the Premiere Building and a seriously ill Nightwing was taken to the medbay.[10]
On the streets, Tara was accosted by Deathstroke, who demanded to know why she had been withholding intel from him.
Dick continued to suffer severe after-effects from exposure to the X-Pit, with his family and friends gathering at his bedside, but Helga Jace was able to stabilize him. After an impromptu meeting of the "Anti-Light", Jeff realized the group had been secretly working together and angrily confronted them, leading to a number of heated conversations. Meanwhile, Helga abducted Brion, Tara and Violet to a lab, where Violet was taken by Gretchen Goode. After escaping, Brion and Tara returned to detail Jace's betrayal.[11]
At the Premiere Building, everyone lamented their failure to find Violet when Vandal Savage arrived to provide her coordinates. The Team then prepared to rescue her and boom tubed out.[12]
The Outsiders investigated a building on the Goode World Studios lot. They found a strange alien device and were boom tubed to an X-Pit. After Vic was able to return them to the warehouse, they destroyed the alien device, causing Gretchen and Overlord to disappear. Vic quickly boom tubed after her.[13]
Violet, Vic and Gar babysat Lian Nguyen-Harper at the Premiere Building while watching the news. Metron arrived and boom tubed away with Vic, Violet and Lian before returning them moments later.[14]
The Outsiders gathered for a mission responding to Hurricane Amy. Beast Boy chose to stay and try to sleep.
Later, Gar came out of his room to watch the news. He returned to his room after a minute. There he struggled to sleep, and kept listening to a song from a memorial to Superboy.[16]
The wave of energy caused by the arrival of Child on Earth passed though the city, momentarily disorientating Blue Devil at the Premiere Building. Later, Devil questioned why Andie was doing Gar's chores, and checked up with Gar, who insisted he was okay. Gar went to a local store to get sleeping pills.[17]
Wonder Girl activated the Troub-alert for a mission against the Headmaster. Beast Boy slept through it on the couch. Stargirl woke him, but he chose to stay where he was.
Gar was still asleep when the Outsiders returned. After Stargirl confronted him, Gar stormed off to his room. Later he slept there, after taking a mixture of different pills.[19]
Perdita Vladek visited Gar. She tried to help him deal with his grief, but he insisted he was okay. She found his stash of medication and pleaded with him to get help, but he rebuffed her.[21]
At the Premiere Building, Wonder Girl participated in a leadership meeting about Perdita's abduction, then assured Gar he and the Outsiders would help her, once they knew where to look.[25]
Wonder Girl took a call from Geo-Force and "Perdita", following the latter's "rescue". Gar felt something about Perdita was off. Cassie checked in with Raptor Squad, who were busy, but later reported to her that they had gotten the desired intel from Joe Henchy, but it suggested that Count Vertigo was not behind Perdita's kidnapping.[26]
Following news that Perdita had not in fact been rescued, Wonder Girl and Beast Boy received an update on the investigation into Perdita's abduction, including a lead on a LexCorp Robotics factory.[27]
