R'ohh K'arr arrested Ma'alefa'ak on suspicion of bombing the Zeta-Tube, despite the fact they had him pinned at the time. Later, Ma'alefa'ak's family are allowed to visit him at his cell at the M'hontrr headquarters.

Queen J'arlia J'axx authorized the Earthers to investigate her husband's murder, noting the M'hontrrs' lack of experience with murder cases, due to the difficulty of getting away with murder among a race of telepaths.[2]
