Madame Xanadu's parlor

The parlor door in New Orleans.

Madame Xanadu's parlor is the base of the powerful psychic and occultist Madame Xanadu. The parlor has doors in many places, but is actually in New Orleans.[1]

Description[]

Located in New Orleans French Quarter, opposite Preservation Hall,[1] the parlor was originally a tourist trap used by the fraud "mystic" Madame Xanadu. The main focus was a round table with a crystal ball, but the room was discreetly equipped with a wind machine and a tyre jack under the table to help sell Xanadu's "seances".[2]

After Xanadu unlocked her true magic powers, the parlor changed little in appearance. The parlor was given multiple doors across the world, including one in Harlem, and its door could be used to create portals to other places. The crystal ball remained, but Xanadu was now able to make true use of it.[1]

Following her encounter with Kent Nelson and Abra Kadabra, Madame Xanadu was inspired to unlock her hidden powers. Her parlor became mystically enhanced, and multiple doors to it were established throughout the world.[1]

Zatanna and her students visited Madame Xanadu from the Harlem entrance to her parlor. After some introductions were made, Zatanna and Xanadu discussed the wave of chaos energy they had both sensed. Xanadu did not know the cause, but was able to locate a recent position of its source, and opened a portal there.[1]
