- Merlin the wizard is a figure from the Arthurian legends, and has appeared in DC Comics for multiple characters, most prominently Etrigan the Demon and Shining Knight. In the context of Etrigan, he is presented as a son of the demon Belial, and this Etrigan's half-brother.
