Merlyn is a bow-wielding assassin familiar to Green Arrow.
History[]
Early life[]
Merlyn had a history with Green Arrow; the pair had duelled 16 times, with Merlyn the victor each time.[1]
2010[]
On the night of September 29,[2] Merlyn arrived at Star City International Airport.[3] Upon being signaled by another assassin that the target, Perdita Vladek, had escaped, Merlyn took position on the rooftop and gleefully shot at Green Arrow, who was attempting to rescue Perdita, hitting him twice.[4] Arrow and Perdita took cover behind a baggage cart. When the pair attempted to move the cart, Merlyn blew it up with an incendiary arrow. The explosion sent the targets onto a baggage converyor, which took them into the building. Merlyn went to the baggage claim area and stood ready, with Arrow and Perdita eventually falling right into his sights.[5] Arrow challenged Merlyn to a single arrow duel and won, knocking the assassin out with a trick arrow.[1]
