Miguel Jose Ferrer was an American actor. He was best known as Bob Morton in Robocop, Shan Yu in Mulan, Eduardo Ruiz in Traffic, Vice President Rodriguez in Iron Man 3, Albert Rosenfeld in Twin Peaks and Garrett Macy in Crossing Jordan.

Ferrer died due to complications of Throat cancer. The episode "Evolution" was dedicated to his memory and was released one day before the second anniversary of his passing.

  • He was a maternal cousin of Hollywood actor George Clooney, who played Batman in the 1997 live-action film, Batman & Robin.
    • In a amusing part, Batman happens to be his favorite comic book hero.
  • In 1997, Ferrer played the Weather Man in an unsuccessful pilot to an attempted live-action Justice League of America series for CBS. The role was loosely based on the character the Weather Wizard, who Ferrer voiced on Superman: The Animated Series.
  • On the same day as his passing, Ferrer was announced to voice Deathstroke in the DC animated film, Teen Titans: The Judas Contract.
  • Ferrer was a good friend of writer Peter David, and as an homage to Ferrer, David named the character of Spider-Man 2099 after him.
