Mad Hatter developed a nanotech mind control system. Branchwater Security used the tech to control its meta-human agents.[1]
Characteristics[]
The nanotech is injected into the subject. Within seconds, the subject is forced to respond to the commands of their handler. The commands must be given via a handheld device. The subject's personality remains intact and there is some ability to resist the commands.[1] The tech is somewhat more sophisticated than a control chip, but does not offer the absolute remote control of Starro-tech.[2]
Control can be averted by ordering the subject to act on their own free will, or giving them the control device.[1]
History[]
Simon Stagg had Mad Hatter use the tech to give him control of a number of meta-humans, so he could use them to protect himself and act against his competitors. By September 2018, subjects included Clayface, Shade, Livewire and Mist. His "Branchwater Security" operation was brought down by a series of operations by the Justice League, Robin's squad and Nightwing's team, coordinated in secret by their leadership.[1]
