Negative Woman was a member of the Doom Patrol.

History

Negative Woman was Russian, and a founding member of the superhero team Doom Patrol from 2011 until her death in 2015. She died with fellow teammates Chief and Elasti-Girl in an unspecified mission, of which Robotman was the sole survivor.

Background information

• Negative Woman is an amalgamation of two Negatives: Negative Man/Larry Trainor, and Negative Woman/Valentina Vostok. The former was an original member of the Doom Patrol; he was a pilot bonded with a negative shadow of himself. The second was a Soviet scientist who replicated the accident and gained similar powers. She was a member of the continuation of the team after the originals' death.
• Larry had four prior animated appearances: he appeared in Teen Titans, Batman: The Brave and the Bold, in a small cameo in Justice League: The New Frontier, and in the Doom Patrol shorts for DC Nation. This is the first animated appearance of Valentina.
• Negative Woman and the rest of the Doom Patrol were designed for "Nightmare Monkeys" in the style of Teen Titans Go! by that show's lead character designer, Chris Battle. He based them on the characters' appearances in the Teen Titans animated series. Chris was not told what the designs were for and only found out when the episode premiered.
