Olga Ilyich is the commander of the Rocket Red Brigade.

History

Ilyich welcomed Dmitri Pushkin as he arrived to be bonded with his armor. His induction was interrupted by a fight between Task Force X, who had been sent to destroy the Brigade and steal their tech, and the Team, who were independently investigating the Brigade. Ilyich went out to defend the base, as Pushkin was fused with his armor. Ultimately, the Brigadeers helped the Team defeat Task Force X, and Ilyich reluctantly allowed the Team to leave with the captives, lest it become known her base had been infiltrated by two separate foreign teams.

Equipment

• Rocket Red Armour:
  • Flight: Powered by a pair of jets on the upper back of the armor.
  • Heads-up display: Built into the helmet visor, the HUD provides night vision and useful information.
  • Rocket Red Circuit Attack: Units on the shoulders of the armor emit arcs of electricity between multiple Reds, electrocuting anyone in between.
  • Forearm weapons: The armor's forearms contain some sort of weapon, though it has not been seen to fire.

Background information

• Olga Ilyich is a combination of two characters who appeared in Captain Atom #31 (co-written by Greg Weisman), a woman named Olga and a man named Ilyich. Ilyich was a Rocket Red of a rogue faction created by a mad scientist. Unlike regular Rocket Reds, these "Renegade Reds" were implanted with micro-chips, which drove them mad.
