History

2018

Gotham City September 12, 21:39 EDT

Orphan was part of Robin's group, consisting of herself, Robin, Spoiler, and Arrowette. They had been tracking Jervis Tetch, the Mad Hatter. They noticed that he was drinking a lot of water, and that the water bottles he was leaving behind contained clay backwash. Robin decided to investigate, but Orphan simply sliced Tetch in half, revealing him to be Clayface in disguise.

After Arrowette asked her if she knew Tetch was really Clayface, Orphan simply replied with poor grammar: "I just not care."

They followed Clayface to a warehouse, Robin ordered Orphan and Arrowette to run interference with Clayface while he figures out what Tetch has been up to.

Background information

• In the comics, Orphan is a name used by Cassandra Cain, the third Batgirl, in the New 52. Her costume is based on her time as Batgirl.
• This is her first animated appearance.
