Overlord (d. January 26, 2019) was an advanced computer used by Granny Goodness. There were two Overlords for a time, as Granny created a duplicate of it when she made her doppelganger Gretchen Goode.

Early history[]
At some point Granny Goodness used a device to create a duplicate of herself to act on Earth as Gretchen Goode, alongside a duplicate Overlord.[1]
2019[]
|
Overlord detected the presence of intruders in Gretchen Goode's Hollywood mansion, and successfully entrapped both Dick Grayson and Jefferson Pierce in the X-Pit.[2]
|
When Aquaman and Wyynde inquired as to the whereabouts of their missing friends, Goode offered to take the Atlanteans to see them, and ordered Overlord to do so. After they successfully retrieved their quarry, she ordered Overlord to bring them back to the mansion.
Unwilling to let the heroes leave with Dreamer's Motherbox, she ordered Overlord to kill it. He proceeded to unveil a cannon from wall and blasted Motherbox.
Goode was about to order Overlord to strand Aquaman, Wyynde, Dick, Jeff, Garfield Logan, Violet, Brion Markov, and Victor Stone in the X-Pit, but was cut off mid-sentence by Oracle, who sent a missile from a Bat-drone inside her apartment.
After all the heroes had left, Goode opened the box containing Overlord, telling it that everything would be all right.[2]
|
Gretchen brought Overlord with her when she went to meet Helga Jace to take custody of Halo. She had Overlord take the group the the X-Pit to test her theory about the Anti-Life Equation. Satisfied with the results, she had Overlord bring them back. When the Markovs broke free of their control chips, Gretchen, Overlord and Halo boom tubed away.[3]
|
The original Overlord was inside Granny Goodness's Ghost Dimension device, controlling it as Granny used it and Halo to spread Anti-Life. Granny Had Overlord shield her with a protective cube as she enthralled Halo's would-be rescuers.[4]
|
Gretchen and Overlord sensed the Outsiders arrive at Building 16 of Goode World Studios, where her duplication machine was located. She Overlord boom tube the Outsiders to the X-Pit. Vic accessed Overlord's systems and defeated Overlord in cyberspace, sending everyone back to the warehouse. After the duplication machine was destroyed, Gretchen and Overlord teleported away against their will.[1]
|
The duplicate Overlord merged back with the original. After Vic freed Halo from Granny's control, and Halo cleansed everyone of the Anti-Life Equation, they destroyed the Ghost Dimension machine, and Overlord along with it. After being freed from the Anti-Life Equation's influence, the Justice League took Granny's minions into custody, including Overlord.[1]
Powers and abilities[]
Overlord has the ability to interface with and control other Apokoliptan tech, such as the Ghost Dimension machine,[1] or weaponry installed in Gretchen Goode's mansion.[2]
It is able to send people to and from the X-Pit via boom tube, and can create red cubes that shield people from the Ghost Dimension.[2]
