Krypton orbits Rao.
Rao was a red sun orbited by the Kryptonian homeworld of Krypton. Kryptonians also revere it; both Dru-Zod and Lor-Zod have invoked its name.[1]
History[]
In 1978,[2] Rao became unstable and exploded, resulting in Krypton's destruction as well and the near-extinction of the Kryptonian race.[3] Prior to it exploding, Krypton's Chief Scientist Jor-El predicted Rao's destruction but no one believed his warnings.[4]

- Rao is the name of Krypton's sun, as well as its personification worshipped as a god by Kryptonians.
