A Ruction Cell is an obsolete energy source once used by the New Gods of New Genesis.
History[]
The Ruction Cell is Radion-powered, and as such now considered obsolete and dangerous. Ruction Cells went out of use five or six thousand years ago, and were put into secure storage.
On August 26, 2020, a Cell was stolen by a Forager Bug, who took it back to her hive. New Gods came to retrieve it, and with Forager's help, they eventually convinced the Bugs to give it back. The Cell malfunctioned, causing it to shoot energy pulses uncontrollably. Once the cell was retrieved and rendered dormant, Highfather had Metron secure it in his Inter-Dimensional Vault.[1] Unbeknownst to the Bugs or New Gods, Lor-Zod's group had traveled back in time to place a tracer linked to the Kaizer-Thrall on the Cell.[2]
