Dru-Zod and Ursa Zod make use of the pods in the Fortress of Solitude.
Solar pods are chambers that subject their occupants to intensified solar radiation. This enables a Kryptonian to charge their powers more quickly than with natural sunlight.[1]

Superman kept a pair of pods in the Fortress of Solitude. When they invaded the Fortress, Dru-Zod and Ursa Zod made use of them to gain superpowers quickly, but Nightwing destroyed the pods with explosive birdarangs before they reached peak power.[1]
A pair of pods were also available in the Watchtower's medical bay. Superboy and Match used them to recover from Kryptonite exposure after facing Metallo.[2]
