The Source of All Life,[1] or the Source, is a mystical force important to the New Gods. It is associated with life and freedom, and is opposed to Anti-Life.[2]
History[]
The New Gods of New Genesis view themselves as gods of the Source. The Forever People can merge with the Source to become Infinity-Man.[2]
Mother and Fatherboxes are connected to the Source, granting them the ability to heal.[1]
The lake at Boiling Lake Crater bubbles with Source energy, and is one of the most potent energy sources on New Genesis. The energy interferes with the functions of nearby Motherboxes. The crater is in fact the mouth of a resting Promethean. The Promethean was briefly woken by Lor-Zod using the lake to power the Phantom Zone Projector, causing it to send out a cascade of Source energy from its mouth that threatened to ignite the atmosphere. Tomar-Re was able to direct the cascade out into space.[3]
