  • I agree. I've rephrased that question twice now. The main point is: his reason sounds suspiciously fishy, given his vitriolic views on aliens up to that point. So these are good only because they "knocked on the door"? He supposedly knows nothing about them, whereas he knows that Supes and MM are at least do-gooders. I just can't figure out the best way to phrase it.

    • I see it's tricky. The problem is that we're second guessing the series - with good reason, but still. Either we go all the way and say something like "Is there a deeper reason that G. Gordon Godfrey is supportive of the Reach, despite his antagonism for other aliens?" or we just leave it out altogether.

    • I agree, we're projecting third party knowledge (comics) into that question, which goes against their purpose. I like your rephrasing.

    • Actually, I think I prefer the word "scorn" to "antagonism" in this case. But yeah, I don't think this would be an issue if we didn't know about Godfrey's background in the comics. We'd just think he was being a jerk.
