Dudley H. Dudley is the legal guardian of Billy Batson,[1] who refers to him as "Uncle Dudley".
Physical appearance[]
Dudley is an overweight, bulky Caucasian man with blue eyes and grayish white hair. He has thick eyebrows, a slightly wrinkled face, and has hairs on his chest and arms. He typically wears a red sleeveless top.
History[]
Early life[]
Dudley has had a number of jobs in his life, but is currently retired. He still does odd jobs here and there, and is something of a scammer.[1]
2010[]
|
Dudley awaited Billy's return home from a mission in India. Captain Marvel was excited to tell him everything that happened, but Dudley pointed out it was past his bedtime. Dudley also had him change back to his normal form and the latter bid his uncle good night.[2]
|
While watching a news report on Captain Marvel's latest feat, Billy suddenly disappeared. Dudley was worried sick about it. When Billy returned the next day, Dudley hugged him dearly.[3]
2016[]
In late June,[4] Dudley attended Wally West's funeral.[5]
Appearances[]
- Season 1
- 13. "Alpha Male"
- 19. "Misplaced" (no lines)
- Companion comics
- YJT 06. "Last Rights" (flashback, no lines)
Background information[]
- Uncle Dudley was one of Captain Marvel's many allies. He did not have powers, but did occasionally dress up in an "Uncle Marvel" costume. He managed to trick enemies into defeating themselves, rather than defeating them. His precise relationship with Billy has always been somewhat sketchy.
- This is his third animated appearance. He appeared in The Kid Super Power Hour with Shazam!, and an evil version named Uncle Super appeared in Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths.
